Yields: Serves 4
Venison Sausages are a rich and tasty alternative. I like Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Venison & Red Wine Sausages , £2.59. Use red wine instead of white if using them.
- 6 Thick Pork Sausages, cut in half
- 660g jar Tomato and Basil Pasta Sauce
- 2 x 410g can of Cannellini Beans, drained and rinsed.
- 200ml White Wine
- 1tbsp Olive Oil
- 3tbsp Very Lazy Garlic
Heat the olive oil in a large cast-iron casserole dish or saute pan on the hob, add the sausages and fry for 10 mins until cooked through and browned.
Reduce the heat, add the garlic and cook for 2 mins. Add the wine, simmer for 2 mins, then pour in the pasta sauce and beans. Season well with pepper.
Bring to the boil and simmer for 10 mins. Stir in the parsley just before serving.
