This is a simple dessert that's really tasty and tastes like it's unhealthy for you - but don't worry. This will satisfy your sweet tooth, as roasting bananas brings out their natural sweetness.

Ingredients[]

  • 2 ripe bananas, peeled
  • 2¼ cups Greek yogurt with honey
  • 2 tbsp. toasted hazelnuts, roughly chopped (or toasted sliced almonds)

Directions[]

Preheat the oven to 400°F. Wrap the bananas in foil and bake for 20 minutes. Leave the bananas to cool completely, then unwrap, place in a small bowl and mash roughly with a fork.

Pour the yogurt into a large bowl, add the mashed bananas and gently fold them into the yogurt. Sprinkle with the hazelnuts (or other nuts) and serve.

If you can't buy Greek yogurt at your grocery store, buy plain fat free yogurt and strain it to remove as much of the water as possible. You then will have to add honey, to taste.

For a yummy variation, add Tzatziki Sauce and a side of Hummus, both of which are healthy and delicious.
