Artichokes can easily take the place of many other vegetables. In this case they are used to replace potatoes in just the right proportion to substitute for potato with some of the re-proportioned ingredients used in my potato pancake meal. In this recipe artichokes are combined with milk, oatmeal, peanut butter and water to produce a complete and delectable smoothie meal. Hint: If you use a bit less water you might be able to make pancakes too. Enjoy!

- 441 grams fresh artichoke
- 4 grams powdered milk
- 21 grams peanut butter
- 27 grams oatmeal
- .5-1 liter water
Utensils[]
- 48 oz. electric blender
- gram scale
- knife
Directions[]
- Weigh artichokes and cut into pieces that will easily fit in the blender.
- Weigh and add the other ingredients.
- Add enough water to fill the blender half way to three quarters full.
- Blend until liquid.
